Not long after returning to New Zealand I began to experience pain in my joints and stiff muscles, at times severe enough to make it difficult to walk up and down steps.
After some research I found that the symptoms matched those of Fluoride poisoning. I checked and found that our town water supply did indeed have Fluoride added to it whereas water in the area where I had been living did not.
I started using a water distiller and avoided drinking fluoridated water. My symptoms began to disappear within a few days. I checked this a number of times, every time I started drinking the town water the symptoms returned and when I used distilled water they disappeared.
It concerns me that there must be many people suffering similar symptoms ( which in many cases they may attribute to advancing age) who are completely unaware that Fluoride may be the cause. I would invite them to experiment by using only fluoride free water for a few weeks.

I've had a Springflow water distiller now for 4 months. Since having the unit in my home I've noticed several benefits.
First, I notice that I'm drinking a lot more water--I used to average about 2 liters a day and now its around 4. That's partly because I'm no longer worried about the expense of bottled water, but mostly because the water from the Springflow distiller tastes great.
The second thing I've noticed since drinking distilled water is that my flexibility has improved. In my yoga practice I see that my joints move more freely and my muscles stretch easier. After reading the research on distilled water, I imagine that this is because the water is washing away inorganic mineral deposits from my system.
Third, I notice that I sleep more deeply and wake up more refreshed. I'm sure this is somehow related to being properly hydrated. I am indeed very grateful to have inexpensive, pure and clean water with me now wherever I go. Thanks Springflow!
